Theravance is focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of small molecule medicines across a number of therapeutic areas including respiratory disease, bacterial infections, and central nervous system.
Business Situation
The Company had implemented PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain. Due to economic changes, they had downsized and some of the trained personnel left the organization. The accounting and technical team were facing challenges and knowledge gaps to complete standard operations.
Solution
UniMind Training and Education Center analyzed their documentation / application configuration, analyzed the key business processes, reviewed limited documents that were available and developed a full set of user documentation for all modules in use. UniMind also created process flows, identified all critical flows, and developed key queries for monitoring the health of the system.
UniMind also conducted classroom training on nVision, Query Manager and usage of application.
Benefits
The company was able to retrain the users quickly on the use of the software. They were able to eliminate errors that were caused by lack of knowledge.
The documentation and process flows were also subsequently used by Theravance for evaluating vendors for replacing PeopleSoft Enterprise with SAAS providers.
