The System represents more than 1,800 licensed, inpatient beds on the Summa Akron City, Summa St. Thomas, Summa Western Reserve Hospital, Summa Barberton, Summa Wadsworth Rittman, and Summa affiliate Robinson Memorial Hospital campuses.
Business Situation
Summa wanted to centralize procurement functions and provide a simplified material requisition system for the various locations.
They were using PeopleSoft Enterprise and were analyzing various options for implementing the requisitioning system including PeopleSoft Purchasing Requisition, eProcurement and Customized Requisitioning.

The application was implemented in 8 weeks at a cost lesser than cost of Requisition Customization (or) E-Procurement implementation. It provided an extremely easy to use interface and users were able to use it with very minimal training.
